It was my honor to have President Donald Trump attend the world premiere screening of the documentary about the lawfare attacks leveled at me, “The Eastman Dilemma: Lawfare or Justice.”
The screening was at Mar-a-Lago and attended by an amazing group of leaders, including Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio, National Security adviser designee Rep. Michael Waltz, Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent, fellow former Trump attorneys Alan Dershowitz and Rudy Giuliani, and a host of other friends and allies including Jeff Clark, Michael Flynn and Peter Navarro.
The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, who was dining with Mr. Trump, decided to join him for the screening!

President Trump could not have been kinder to my wife and me with his warm greeting and demonstration of friendship.
Nor could his public remarks have been more effusive in his praise of my work as his former lawyer.
“I’m a big fan of John Eastman,” President Trump said. “Ya’ know, he was right. He happened to be right.”
The president was commenting on my legal scholarship and representation of him in explaining the options the Vice President had under the Constitution and election statutes to allow states to finish their inquiries into illegalities and irregularities in the 2020 election.
The leftwing media likes to portray me as a lone wolf who pursued legal theories that nobody else agreed with, but President Trump put the lie to that notion: “Actually, John, a lot of other legal scholars agreed with you.”

It was lovely to spend the evening with President Trump and so many others for the documentary screening, but the tragic thing is that the documentary ever had to be made to begin with. The lawfare assault I have had to endure because of my representation of President Trump has been unprecedented and unimaginable.
In the years since the 2020 presidential election, I have had a target put on my back by Special Counsel Jack Smith, been indicted by corrupt partisan prosecutors in Georgia and Arizona, and endured a leftwing lawfare group getting a California State Bar judge to recommend my disbarment.
These attacks have also cost me more than $1.5 million to defend myself, with the legal bills growing every day.
Our defense fund is nearly exhausted and it’s essential that we rebuild it promptly. Will you join President Trump in recognizing the importance of my work for him and the country and show your support by making a generous donation today to the John Eastman Legal Defense Fund? We are in urgent need of financial support.
The documentary is a powerful exposition of how the judicial system was manipulated and contorted by leftwing radicals to go after me because I had the courage to fight for President Trump when the chips were down.
Despite the price I have had to pay, it was an honor to help President Trump lawfully and ethically bring forth crucial challenges to the many illegalities and irregularities during that fateful 2020 presidential election.
President Trump has my gratitude for turning to me for legal advice and assistance, and I thank him for taking time away from his busy schedule getting ready for his upcoming inauguration to honor me at the screening.
I am more determined than ever to defeat the lawfare left, but I will need your help and that of other people of goodwill to do so. That’s why I am asking you to make a donation today to my legal defense fund of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, or $1,000 or more.
Thank you for whatever you can do as we get ready to continue the battle into 2025 because, unfortunately, the prosecutions in Georgia and Arizona, and the California bar appeal proceedings, are still ongoing.
Sincerely,
John Eastman
