This is a big week for my team as we prepare to file our opposition to Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’s “Special Action” appellate procedure which she hopes will shield her lawfare prosecution of me from public scrutiny.
Our filing is due on April 25th and we have been working hard on it for several weeks.
As the deadline approaches, I turn to you for support. Unfortunately, my legal defense fund is near empty and I need to raise additional funds this week to keep my challenge to Mayes on track.
We are on a path in Arizona that could lead to the dismissal of the prosecution against me, but there are a number of crucial points along the way and this week presents one of them. I ask you to step forward today with a much-needed donation so my team has the financial backing they need to defeat Mayes, who has weaponized the state’s justice system against me in cooperation with a despicable lawfare group.
The reason that Mayes has filed this “Special Action” appellate procedure is because my legal team and I won a crucial battle before the trial judge who ruled that we had presented prima facia evidence that Mayes’s prosecution of me violated the state’s anti-SLAPP law because it is in retaliation for exercising my rights under the First Amendment to assist President Trump challenge the results of the 2020 election.
That victory forces Mayes and her team to prove under oath in open court that she didn’t retaliate against me, but we’ve got the goods on her, including a detailed “prosecution memo” written by a radical lawfare group directing how she should go after me.
This is the same lawfare group that filed the complaint in California seeking to get me disbarred – kicking off another expensive lawfare battle in that state!
Once we win the Special Action proceeding, we will be ready to EXPOSE Mayes’s sham prosecution as a partisan, anti-Trump which hunt. That includes instituting extensive discovery proceedings such as document production demands, deposing key players such as Mayes’s Chief of Staff and forcing her political campaign operatives to answer questions about their conversations with Mayes – all under oath and subject to PERJURY.
The bottom line in Arizona is that no crime was ever committed, and certainly not by me. I did not even represent President Trump in Arizona!
