August 16, 2024 – The copping of deals

The lawfare left has viciously assaulted me for one reason – as Donald Trump’s top constitutional lawyer during his 2020 election challenges, they want me to surrender to their assault and help them bring down former President Trump.

As a longtime supporter of mine, you know what’s transpired:

The Democrats tried to set a perjury trap for me in their partisan J6 Committee in the House. They’ve indicted me in Georgia and Arizona. They’ve made my law license inactive in my home state of California and are trying to get me disbarred before the US Supreme Court. They’ve put a target on my back in Jack Smith’s case against Mr. Trump. And they are threatening me with prison terms that effectively would mean a life sentence.

But I am NOT surrendering. Donald Trump did nothing wrong in 2020, and neither did I.

The Democrats have gotten two of President Trump’s former lawyers to cut a deal to try to bring him down, along with me and the other defendants.

Just the other day, one of President Trump’s former attorneys stood before a court in Arizona and copped a deal, promising to cooperate in exchange for the Democrat prosecutor dropping charges against the lawyer.

I found the entire scenario to be bizarre. Think about the dynamic at play: A lawyer who advises a client on legal matters turns around to “cooperate” with the prosecutor trying to convict the client in exchange for dropping charges against the lawyer!

If this isn’t Orwellian, I don’t know what is.

But here’s the fact of the matter – if President Trump’s former lawyers tell the truth, they will “sing” and not “compose.” In other words, they will tell the truth about what did and did not occur in 2020 and not make up testimony they hope will please the prosecutors.

I can tell you from first-hand experience that neither Donald Trump nor his legal team engaged in some scheme to “steal” the 2020 election. Rather, they lawfully and legitimately raised serious concerns about illegalities and irregularities in the election that potentially call into question the results.

Here is something else I know: I’m not copping any deals. I’m not surrendering. I am fighting back!

But fighting back is not easy, and it certainly is not cheap.

I’ve already had to expend more than $1 million fighting these lawfare radicals, and I’m looking at needing at least $2 million more to beat them.

You’ve supported me thus far, something I greatly appreciate. Please know that your additional support of my legal defense fund at this time would make a real difference.

Your donation of $25$50$100$250$500$1,000 or some other amount more will be put to immediate use in putting an end to the legal assault by these despicable leftwing radicals.

Here’s the deal I am willing to copp with prosecutors: I will see you in court.

Sincerely,

John Eastman

Constitutional Scholar
Former Attorney for President Donald Trump
