Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is the queen of lawfare.
She is running me through a gauntlet in the hopes that I will run out of funds to defend myself, or just surrender to her false claims.
I don’t plan to quit fighting and I’ll never surrender. But I can’t battle on by myself. My legal defense fund is nearly exhausted and I urgently need help to continue pushing back against the lawfare queen. My team recently won a HUGE victory in court where the Arizona trial judge ruled I had presented prima facia evidence that Attorney General Mayes has pursued this prosecution in violation of my fundamental First Amendment rights and in violation of the state’s anti-SLAPP statute.
With this victory in hand, Mayes was going to be forced to prove that her prosecution wasn’t politically motivated and brought for improper purposes (such as to “punish” lawyers for President Trump).
But rather than stand up in court before the judge – and before the public – to explain herself, Mayes instead got the judge’s ruling kicked to the Appellate Court for review.
The queen of lawfare thus has added enormous cost, and extensive delay, to my defense in this case.

I’ve already had to raise and expend well over $1.5 MILLION so far defending against all the lawfare attacks against me, including more than $100,000 in Arizona just to get to the point where I could force Mayes to defend her actions in an open courtroom, only to have the can kicked down the road.
Now I’m forced to pay my legal team to file extensive briefs defending the trial judge’s ruling on my behalf, and then to respond to whatever false narrative that Mayes tries to establish in her own filings. My team also needs to prepare to present oral argument which could be requested by any of the parties in this case. (I am not the only Trump lawyer or ally that Mayes is prosecuting.)
Aside from the extensive cost, I also have to suffer substantial delay. The appeal could drag on for months. And even if (when) we win, the entire matter will go back to the trial judge for another series of briefs, replies, arguments and possible appeals.
The lawfare queen wants to bleed me dry, but she doesn’t know how much support I have among friends, fellow conservatives and millions of Americans who believe in our Constitution and the rule of law and can smell the STENCH of lawfare all the way from Arizona.
