Apr 27, 2024 – Election Interference

There’s only one likely explanation for the hyper-partisan action of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes in her lawfare indictment of me and other Trump attorneys and supporters…

She wants to interfere in the 2024 presidential election because Joe Biden is badly trailing Donald Trump in Arizona and she hopes making voters think that Trump and his allies are criminals may help Biden’s prospects.

Just look at the polling:

Bloomberg                             Trump +7

Wall Street Journal                Trump +5

The Hill                                  Trump +4

Fox News                              Trump +4

So much about this case is clear simply from the timing of the indictment. Other cases against President Trump were brought nearly a year ago, and yet Mayes waited until after the Arizona presidential primary earlier this month – where Donald Trump outpolled Joe Biden by over 117,000 votes – to name the former president an “unindicted co-conspirator” and to formally indict me, other Trump attorneys, and a number of Republican officials.

With this action by the rogue Attorney General, the lawfare assault against me has been ramped up considerably.

Though I am innocent, this indictment will end up costing me greatly, adding to the $1 million+ in legal fees I’ve already incurred to defend against the lawfare assault, and increasing the $2+ million in additional legal expenses I am facing going forward to defend myself.

It is my urgent hope that people of goodwill like you will step forward with a generous emergency financial donation to my defense fund to help me deal with this new attack by Kris Mayes, cheered on by liberal lawfare radicals.

Arizona is one of the swing states that will likely decide the presidential election this year. Biden was declared the winner by about 10,000 votes in 2020 but judging by the latest polls and the recent primary election results, voters have come to regret supporting Biden.

Another possible reason for Kris Mayes to move forward with this indictment also suggests political motivations.  She barely won her race for Attorney General in 2022, being declared the winner by a mere 280 votes out of more than 2.5 million votes cast.

Going after President Trump, his attorneys and supporters will likely be well received by the radical base of the Democrat party in Arizona, boosting their enthusiasm for her reelection prospects. No doubt Biden also appreciates her stepping in to try to swing the presidential contest his way. Perhaps Mayes has visions of a prominent position in a second Biden administration?

Whatever her motivations, I can tell you categorically that this indictment is wrong and that I am innocent.

I plan to vigorously contest these outrageous, bogus charges but your emergency donation to my legal defense fund is urgently needed if I am to have the resources needed to fight. Thank you for whatever you are able to do.

Sincerely,

John Eastman
