The biased judge who oversaw the California State Bar disbarment show trial against conservative constitutional scholar Dr. John Eastman has rejected his request to delay suspension of his law license while he appeals her disbarment recommendation.
The leftwing judge – appointed by the Democrat Speaker of the State Assembly and a donor to Democrat politicians – says he continues to pose “a danger to the public.”
What’s the danger in allowing Dr. Eastman to continue to practice law while he appeals her outrageous ruling against him?
The danger is that he will continue to represent conservative clients and pursue conservative causes on behalf of those who have been aggrieved by government power and overreach.
That, of course, is a major purpose of the lawfare assault that leftwing legal groups have waged against John Eastman.
The immediate impact of the judge’s latest ruling against him is that he will no longer be able to earn income as a lawyer in California, and perhaps elsewhere, and thus be able to contribute to his own defense. This giant of the conservative legal movement is now totally reliant on the support of friends, colleagues, fellow conservatives and people of good will to support his legal defense fund.
Dr. Eastman has incurred over $1 million in legal fees thus far defending against the lawfare assault being waged against him and is looking at $2+ million in additional legal expenses going forward.
I urgently ask you to consider making a generous emergency financial donation to Dr. Eastman’s defense fund now that the biased judge in California has denied him the ability to earn income representing clients who urgently need his help.
The lawfare radicals highly object to Dr. Eastman utilizing his expertise as one of the nation’s foremost constitutional experts in his representation of former President Donald Trump. It’s because he dared to work with President Trump to lawfully raise concerns about fraud and illegalities in the 2020 presidential election that he has been targeted for punishment and ruin.
They’ve sought to have him disbarred in California, DC and before the US Supreme Court. The feds illegally seized his cell phone (which they have kept for over two years now). He was hauled before the discredited January 6 Committee when Democrats controlled the House to be made an object of scorn and subjected to outrageous allegations. Joe Biden’s hand-picked special prosecutor Jack Smith (who was appointed illegally) has named him an unindicted co-conspirator in his federal prosecution of President Trump for supposed election interference. And he’s been indicted by radical leftwing Democrat prosecutors in both Georgia and Arizona where, if they succeed, he could be thrown into prison for decades.
All of this because he lawfully represented former President Trump.
In issuing her latest ruling against Dr. Eastman – claiming that he continues to present a danger to the public – the California State Bar judge is not only denying him the ability to earn income as a lawyer, she is denying his clients the right to enjoy his continued representation of them.
For example, Dr. Eastman is representing conservative Congressmembers Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz in a lawsuit they are pursuing against two California cities for last minute cancellations of planned rallies following political backlash from leftwing officials and groups over allowing venues to be used for what Politico called “far-right political events.” The lawsuit seeks an order prohibiting these cities from ever again engaging in this prohibited conduct, and it will serve as a key wake-up call to other cities across the country that wish to censor conservative speakers.
He is currently representing the Colorado Republican Party in a legal challenge to the state’s “open primary” scheme in which non-Republicans are allowed to vote in GOP primaries and choose the party’s nominees, diluting the interests of Republican voters in the state.
Dr. Eastman is also representing a Colorado teenager who was targeted by officials at his high school for displaying a patch on his backpack featuring the Gadsen “Don’t Tread On Me” flag. School officials claimed that the flag was associated with slavery and racism when, in fact, it is a proud symbol of the American revolution.
Reps. Gaetz and Greene, along with other clients, asked the State Bar judge to allow Dr. Eastman to continue to represent them in court but she refused.
A primary purpose of lawfare is to destroy attorneys who represent clients who challenge liberal orthodoxy. Indeed, the head of a lawfare group that has been involved in attempts to have Dr. Eastman disbarred told an interviewer that their purpose is to “not only bring the grievances in the bar complaints, but shame them and make them toxic in their communities and in their firms.”
He went on to say, “I think the littler fish are probably more vulnerable to what we’re doing. You’re threatening their livelihood. And, you know, they’ve got reputations in their local communities.”
Well, thanks to the ruling of a biased Democrat-donating judge in a California State Bar show trial, Dr. Eastman’s livelihood is indeed threatened. And so is his ability to defend himself against the continuing lawfare assault waged against him.
Dr. Eastman is planning a vigorous appeal of the judge’s disbarment recommendation, but he is in urgent need of help to fund his defense in this appeal and the many other pending matters he is facing.
